Assessments & Tests
Psychological assessments and tests are one of the fundamental and quantifiable ways of understanding people and their behaviour. Psychological assessments and tests encompass a whole body of tests and procedures that are commonly classified into (1) assessment of intellectual functioning; (2) personality assessment; (3) behavioural assessment; (4) clinical interview; and (5) other specific tests such as aptitude or achievement in learning settings, career/work counselling, management abilities, and many others.
Psychological assessments and tests measure a person’s performance at specific points in time for temporal comparisons. The measurements and comparisons serve as data points to helping professionals to determine the core components of clients’ state of psychological or mental health.
